Although the Xiaomi 12 Series is likely to have many more products, there are currently only two smartphones in it. Xiaomi 12, 12 Pro and 12X, formalized in China today, will open new terminals in Europe next year and are currently reserved for the national market.
Xiaomi 12 Pro: Three 50-megapixel sensors, 120 W load and an LTPO screen
The Xiaomi 12 Pro is definitely the most advanced of these three. This high-end smartphone has a 6.73-inch curved Amoled screen with a resolution of 3200 x 1440 pixels and benefits from LTPO technology: its upgrade rate is 120 Hz and therefore adaptive. It is also protected by the Gorilla Glass Victus layer. Underneath that, we see the latest Qualcomm chip, viz Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 operating system 8 to 12 GB RAM, 128 to 256 GB storage included. Fully backed by a 4600 mAh battery, it gets switching from fast charge to 120 W. Xiaomi 11T Pro. It is a wireless charge at 50 W.
An important aspect of photography is presented in three volumes. All are based on 50 megapixel sensors signed by Sony. The first (IMX707) has a wide-angle aperture of f / 1.9 (equivalent to 24mm), the second a 48mm equivalent lens (2x zoom, f / 1.9) and a third ultra wide-angle (f / 2.2). The smartphone can shoot at 8 fk at 24 fps, and the 32-megapixel sensor depends on the circumference of the selfie. To put these components together, Xiaomi offers a smartphone measuring 163.6 x 74.6 x 8.16 mm per 205 g, which of course runs under the latest software version of its home interface MIUI 13.
Xiaomi 12: Less ambitious photo component and slower charging
Aside from the fact that the Xiaomi 12 is smaller, it looks like the 12 Pro. It has to be said that its screen diagonal increases to 6.28 inches. Its 2400 x 1080 pixel Amoled display is not LTPO, so up to 120 Hz is refreshing. Also under the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, it has a battery (4500 mAh, with wired charging at 67 W and 50 at wired charging) and photography. Its core volume of 50 megapixels this time is an IMX766 (optical f / 1.88), and its other two sensors display 13 megapixels for ultra wide-angle and the third 5 megapixels for macro. However, it does allow you to shoot in 8K.
The “lite” version called Xiaomi 12X
Finally, the last model of this first wave of Xiaomi 12 got the name Xiaomi 12X. All the same to the Xiaomi 12 in all respects, it stands out with its Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chip, a little lower quality, but the wireless charging is missing. So it allows to be the sensible light version, not the smaller version of the smartphone. Its price is affected: If the starting price of the Xiaomi 12 is set at 3699 Yuan (approximately 515 € HT) and the Xiaomi 12 Pro 4699 Yuan (650 Euro), it will be offered from 3199 Yuan (445 excluding taxes). HT). They will be available in China from December 31st, and the brand is expected to announce their international release in the coming weeks.
