The main 108 Mpx sensor captures snapshots at 12 Mpx by default. Like its competitors, it benefits Pixel-pinning, But combines nine pixels for its part (most often instead of four) to capture more light when it is exhausted.
In good light, both smartphones are engaged in a beautiful fight. We also note that the software processing of 11T is different from software 11D Pro. His big brother provided a strong variant, less pronounced here, which is more pleasing to the eye. Facing the Honor 50, you can see a difference in color measurement and general color above all else. Honor chooses hot rendering, Xiaomi does the opposite. The 11T offers a slightly higher PQ, as can be seen on the lion’s face, mane or map in our test scene.
At night, the 11T photo is best exposed. This allows for more details to be retrieved and colors to be better preserved. The Honor 50 tries to compensate with strong digital smoothing and greater variation, but fails to do better.
Mode 108 MPX
The 11T is capable of capturing shots at full resolution at 108 Mpx. This mode does not always bring significant change in smartphones. To isolate the two displays, we isolated an area of equal size (0.90 Mpx). Thus we can see the difference in the definition.
Whether day or night, this mode does not offer a significant gain in comprehensive or optimal overall color measurement. This of course allows you to engrave strongly on images, which can be useful during redoching, but the latter also takes up more memory space. Therefore, we advise you to stay in standard mode or use knowingly.
Volume Ultra Grand-Angle: 8 Mpx, f / 2,2, 120
We also see the ultra wide angle of 8 Mpx here. These sensors have become very popular, but still rarely believed. Like the 11T Pro, the latter really struggled to impress our test scene.
Day by day, the rendering is not very reliable. We can certainly distinguish all elements of the scene, but not the wholeness and sharpness. The different color patterns are very well reproduced, and the pronounced variation gives a more flattering rendering than the Honor 50. We do not feel it in this part of the film, but the distortion is very noticeable.
In the dark, the Honor 50 takes over without shining. The level of details crashes and clearly controls the use of this mode in these situations.
Front and video module
The 16MP (f / 2.5) sensor is housed in a central punch on the front. Selfie rendering is very good and detailed in good light conditions, however the clarity in colors is low. The result is very frustrating at night, and fills in the sensor a lot softer. The portrait mode is very effective, but can still be tricked by long hair or flyways.
The 11T’s wide-angle sensor captures 4K at 30 fps and full HD 60 fps. It turns out to be very robust in use. We benefit from good positioning, a commendable colorful rendering and excellent dynamic management. So it is one of the best in operating beyond its price range. In short, we do not really regret not being able to shoot in 8K as in Pro. Ultra wide angle can be used in full HD at 30 fps. The rendering is very interesting, even though the colors seem overly washed out and it inevitably loses detail.
