lately CBS Morning Interview With Gail King I’m classy Sonic the Hedgehog 2Carey said Smith should face much greater consequences for slapping Rock after the comedian made fun of his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith.
Not only was Smith kicked out of the event, but he was given a standing ovation shortly thereafter when he won Best Actor for King Richard. Smith issued an apology on social media on Monday. Rock hasn’t addressed this issue publicly yet. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences will conduct a formal review.

“I had announced this morning that I was suing Will for $200 million because this video would be around forever. It’s going to be everywhere,” Carrey told King. “This insult is going to go on for a very long time.”
Besides the serious damage done to Smith’s reputation, Curry said the lack of action by those in the room sent a clear message about the industry today.
“Hollywood is collectively weak, and I really felt that was a clear indication that we’re not the great club anymore,” said Carey.
