Match your sneakers and your lipstick because that’s how you should roll this year. You don’t have to run from store to store matching both essentials when the Puma x M.A.C collection has made things easier for fans. On Tuesday, Puma announced that it has collaborated with M.A.C Cosmetics to create shoes in three new colorways that exactly match Mac’s best lipstick shades.
This collaboration has birthed in celebration of the 50th anniversary of Puma’s iconic suede sneakers. Both Mac and Puma are no strangers to stellar collaborations. It’s just pretty cool how a sportswear brand has collaborated with a makeup house for delivering something unique. Puma has collaborated with Rihanna, Selena Gomez, and BTS for shoe and apparel lines in the previous year.
For the 50th anniversary of its shoe design, it also joined forces with Hello Kitty earlier this year to create red and white pieces with the signature HK cat face. The makeup brand has also collaborated with several celebs and influencers recently including Jeremy Scott, and Patrick Starrr. The Mac x Aaliyah collection is set to drop in the coming months too.
The Puma x Mac sneaker collection was first announced in November last year. The three lip colors that will be seen in sneaker form are Crème d’Nude, which is a creamy peach hue, Lady Danger, which is a matte bold red, and Sin which is a deep burgundy shade. Mac announced the release of this collab with an Instagram video post, with a caption that reads:
“Kicks that match our lips?! YES PLEASE 👟💄 M•A•C has joined forces with @puma @pumasportstyle to create limited-edition suede sneakers inspired by our iconic Lipsticks Lady Danger, Créme d’Nude and Sin!” This special edition of sneakers will be available for purchase on the Puma website and selected stores in premium matching shoe boxes on May 17 with each holding a price tag that’ll read $90.
