Summers are not going to be about matte lipsticks anymore because lip glosses are officially back baby! The trend that has been seen on this year’s runways quite a lot has gained a stamp of approval from Pat McGrath. The makeup mogul is adding 14 gloss shades to her permanent collection so even if you’re late to the party you’ll be served these super-smooth glosses without any problems.
Talking about these lip glosses at their launch, Pat McGrath said, “I was so obsessed with Lip Fetish, and really all things lip, so the next natural next step was to have a gloss.” Yeah, fashionistas don’t mind either because it’s high time we all move on from matte lipsticks and that also courtesy of this makeup biggie. The felt tip of the applicator is concave and has a tapered end for easy application because when we talk about McGrath, we talk about amazingness!
These lip glosses come in a variety of colors from pink to golden bronze to blue so that there’s a high-shine color for every occasion. Talking with Allure, McGrath said, “There’s a little bit of oil in there that gives you a comfort and an ease.” She said that these glosses had “gel matrix formulation” so they enable smooth application like that of a lip balm. “I wanted them to feel like you’re wearing a lip balm,” she added.
Pat McGrath first debuted this product of hers at the Spring 2018 Valentino runway. The 3D shine mixed with hydrating oil formula of these glosses makes them a must-have. The entire collection can be picked up from McGrath’s website on May 11. There’s a complete package containing all fourteen shades called the Everything Kit that will exclusively sold on the Pat McGrath site priced at $325. There’s also a Cool Kit and a Warm Kit with four shades each and a price tag of $95
Single shades will drop in select stores and on the Sephora website on May 24 for $28 each. Need another reason to lust after these glosses? Well, the packaging is McGrath’s statement awesomeness that is often copied. With sequins in bag, the products are love at first sight. This packaging has two differences from her original though. The sequins are enclosed in a small sealed bag so that they don’t fly off the bag itself now has a zipper seal.
