Louis Vuitton has made a name for itself with its signature print, love for addressing vintage designs, and faultless craftsmanship. The high-end fashion couture retailer always meets the latest trends head-on, but with a twist of its own.

Louis Vuitton debuted its Fall/Winter collection earlier this year at the Paris Fashion Week, but only now have we got a chance to inspect the collection closely. Like always, the fashion house has nodded at its iconic retro LV monogram print in several of its pieces while other items feature earthy tones with a pop of red, yellow, and blue. Some lighter tones like bright whites and pearly pinks have also been experimented with.

The womenswear collection has been created by Nicholas Ghesquiere who has brought aesthetic designs with elaborate detailing to the fore. From blazers to dresses, to handbags, to boots, ties, wallets, and chokers, each piece is sure to wow the brand’s fans. The range has both classic and modish designs.

Apart from that, the menswear collection which has been designed by Kim Jones has also surfaced. In this category, sportswear has been valued. Earthy tones meet popping hues like orange, with motifs and other elemental details decorating the designs.

Our favorite pieces include the LV printed boots with a touch of gold, the LV printed duffel bag, the thick chain choker, and one more LV printed item; the handbag with embroidered graphics. The collection is set to drop soon, dates have not been revealed yet.

In another news, with the goal to make 3x more sales, Gucci is riding the fashion horse to speed ahead of Louis Vuitton. The brand that is growing at an increasing momentum plans to takeover the crown in the luxury fashion department. “We’re in the same league. The question is not if, but when,” says Marco Bizzarri, Gucci’s chief executive.
