Okay, what is this new Selena Gomez and Hailey Bieber drama all about?

If you’ve not yet been sucked into the giant-sized gossip regarding Selena’s new single Lose You To Love Me, wear your 3D glasses and get a bowl of popcorn.

So, Selena Gomez has released a new song. She was posting snippets of the single’s lyrics the last few days and then it got released. People were and are thinking that the song is about Justin Bieber and how he quickly moved on from Selena Gomez. And honestly, the lyrics do indicate quite clearly that this is the case.

Taking up the throne as the queen of bad timing, Hailey Bieber posted to her Instagram stories that she was listening to a song titled, I’ll Kill You. Of course, innocuous Selena stans immediately took their weapons and started attacking Hailey Bieber for they thought this was Mrs. Bieber’s response to their empress.

News outlets began churning out headlines about how Hailey had clapped back at Selena. Frustrated, Hailey took to Just Jared’s comment section to clear the air by writing, “please stop with this nonsense…there is no ‘response.’ this is complete BS.” She immediately deleted the comment but as always it had already been recorded by eagle-eyed fans and the internet’s books.

Because the mess got bigger and Hailey got dragged into it, Selena took to Instagram to stop her followers from being mean to the model. She said, “I am so grateful for the response this song is getting. However, I do not stand for women tearing women down. And I will never, ever be by that. So please be kind to everyone. It doesn’t matter what the situation is, if you’re my fans don’t be rude to anyone, please.”

If you zoom in on her words Selena made a point to acknowledge that there was a “situation” here. Now while she did explain further that she’d only released the song because it was close to her heart, what’s the point of so much drama? Not that we don’t absolutely adore Gomez; we are so thankful for new music.

But fans are worried and annoyed that Selena has still not moved on. Sure, Selena and Justin dated on and off for a long time. And after their breakup in 2017, it took the Baby singer just 2 months to find love with Hailey. But that is all more than a year old. It is speculated that the heartbreak Selena suffered through may have triggered her hospitalization last year.

But everyone was hoping that she’s finally better. And moving on. Then came the lyrics of this new single that said, “You turned me down and now it’s showing / In two months, you replaced us / Like it was easy / Made me think I deserved it.” The song also talks about her being in a toxic relationship and eventually finding strength in singledom.

This is not the first time people have linked a song of Selena’s to Justin Bieber. In fact, when her track Back To You came out it seemed to be at the right timing – when her last breakup with Justin had happened. It had seemed as though each lyric was about him, talking about how she kept returning to him despite all that repeatedly reached to a rough conclusion for her.
