Ever experienced that moment when you step outside the door of your home to find the cold breeze peppering your face with icy kisses? Or well, the other way around; have you ever peeped out and have harsh, hot wind poke at you? Dry skin is a nuisance. But so is every other bad skin condition.

Sometimes your skin is clear but it just looks really dull. Other times, it’s all smooth and beautiful but that one angry scar from the last zit you picked at glares angrily. Eh, calm down skin. You don’t have to throw a tantrum every season. But since your skin can’t really take care of itself, you have to put some effort in keeping it smooth, soft, clear and radiant.

If you are one of those people who just doesn’t trust even the best of brands and relies on just natural home remedies, then you are at the right place. Here is a list of things you can do to keep your skin fresh-looking.

Water

Do your self a favor and stay hydrated. Drink at least eight to ten glasses of water a day. Drinking plenty of water is helpful in flushing out the toxins and keeping your skin smooth. Avoid alcohol and also don’t get addicted to soft drinks. Eat fruits and veggies that are rich in water content. Wash your face twice a day to maintain a glowing appearance.

Lemon

Lemon has a whole lot of benefits for your skin in its arsenal. It can be used to lighten your complexion, soften your skin, and remove acne marks. What you can do is squeeze out lemon juice and apply it with a cotton ball on your entire face and neck. Leave it on for ten minutes and then wash it off.

Lemon can dry up your skin so after this you can rub cucumber slices on your face to moisture and soften skin. Another thing that you can do is mix lemon juice and raw honey and apply the blend on your face for ten to twenty minutes before washing it off.

Not only this, lemon can also exfoliate your skin, remove dead cells, and erase dark spots. You can use it as an exfoliator by mixing two teaspoons of lemon juice with two teaspoons of sugar. Scrub this mixture on your face in upward circular motions. Let it rest for ten minutes before rinsing it off with warm water.

Tomato

Another incredible remedy is the use of tomatoes. Tomatoes are skin-toners that can also remove pimples and blemishes. What you have to do is make tomato into a paste with the help of a grinder or blender. Apply this tomato puree on your skin. Let it sit for ten minutes before washing it off.

You can use this paste to heal pimples as well. Put it on the affected area for one hour for noticing a difference. You can mix lemon and tomato as well. Take a small crushed tomato and mix it with half a teaspoon of lemon juice. Put it on your face for fifteen minutes then wash it off with water.

Honey

To get soft, radiant, and nourishing skin, you can apply raw honey on your face and let it rest on for a while before rinsing off with water. Or you can mix one teaspoon of honey, two teaspoons of milk and a teaspoon of gram flour. Make it into a paste. Apply the paste on your face. Let it sit for fifteen minutes then wash off.
