It only took Matthew Stafford a year to lift the Lombardy Trophy away from Detroit Lions, and he did so in the most frequently used manner by Matthew Stafford. It was a far cry from a perfect match from Stafford, but he eventually earned a comeback in the fourth quarter and took the win. Then his defense sealed the match with a fourth stop and an incredible one.
Of course, this is a moment many Detroit Lions fans knew Stafford is capable of, and as we’ve heard over the past few months, a lot of his old teammates agreed.
So it should come as no surprise that after Stafford completed the go-ahead campaign and Aaron Donald finished the game in central defense, a group of his former teammates took to social media to congratulate the veteran quarterback on his big evening.
