Some easy-peasy DIY beauty treatments to go for are:
a) Scrub your lips:
Black lips are such a put off. There are a lot of times when hyper-pigmentation leads to your lips turning black. Apart from smoking, excessive usage of tea and coffee is also one of the factors that tend to make lips darker. One of the most common reasons of darker lips is the exposure to sun. Not wearing a sunscreen can cause serious damage to the skin, and lips are the effected by it majorly. A simple way to scrub off the darkness from your lips is:
You need to have:
- One table-spoon honey
- One table-spoon sugar
- One Lemon
Mix all the three ingredients together. Take an old tooth brush and scrub your lips with the paste that you have made. Do it for around two to three minutes. Once done, rinse with cold water. Now, apply a smooth layer of almond oil on the lips to keep them moisturized.
b) Brighten up the skin:
If your face is turning dark, this could be due to the excessive pigmentation. To mellow down this pigmentation at home, without spending a lot of money on it, you need just four ingredients and fifteen minuets.
- Two table spoon gram flour
- A lemon
- A pinch of turmeric
- A tea spoon of milk
Mix all these ingredients together, and make a paste. Using a brush, apply it all over your face. Keep it there till the time it gets firm. Once your skin gets tightened, rub it off your skin. Apply a good quality moisturizer post this treatment.
c) Hair mask:
If your hair has turned dry and frizzy, you can bring the moisture back by applying a simple hydration mask. For that, you need:
- An egg
- A table spoon of milk
- A table spoon of honey
- A mashed banana
Mix all these ingredients well. If needed, put them in a blender and blend well. Apply on your hair, making sure that each strand gets the mask on it. Keep it for half an hour, and then shampoo it off with a good quality, moisturizing shampoo.
