Blanca Blanco has a thing for staying in the headlines for wearing outfits that reveal more than what the audience is used to. At the Oscars Awards ceremony on Sunday, the actress was seen in a red and white gown that had a plunging neckline and a high thigh cut. The 36-year-old proved that she does not care about what Twitter thinks of her dressing choices.

The California-based actress stood amid fake Oscar toys and posed with her 68-year-old boyfriend John Savage. Only a month back, she was in the news for the same reason. She chose to go for a red ensemble which was against the dress code of all black in support of the Times Up and Me Too movements at the Golden Globes. She later clarified that her choice of clothing didn’t mean that she didn’t care about the movement.

It wasn’t just that her dress was red but that it flashed too much flesh. Apart from the bust cutout, the thigh slit was also too high. Twitter thinks that the Mission Impossible actress wants to get her name to fame with these tactics. “The issue is bigger than my dress color. I love red. Wearing red does not mean I am against the movement,” said Blanco in response.

In an interview with Fox News, she said, “I love red. Wearing red does not mean I am against the movement. I applaud and stand by the courageous actresses that continue to break the cycle of abuse through their actions and fashion style choices. It is one of many factors leading women to a safer place because of their status. I am excited about the #TimesUp movement; true change is long overdue.”

For these moves of hers, she has faced a lot of backlash. The past year at the Oscars as well, she had shown the public much more of her skin than what it finds acceptable. Then recently Blanca Blanco was seen on the streets of Los Angeles in another outfit that gained attention.
