Instagram is not a good place to be on. Most would think that with millions of followers on the app, celebrities would definitely feel lucky. But nah, that’s not true. No one can be immune to online harassment. Specially not when it happens continuously.

In a new interview with Howard Stern on his show SiriusXM, the comedian revealed that he doesn’t even remember his Instagram password anymore because of all the negativity that is directed toward him on the platform.

“I have an account in case I have to do something, but I don’t know how to go on there,” said Davidson. The Saturday Night Live star further explained that whenever he posted something, he’d feel like he was the one to blame for expecting better than people hating on him.

Let’s pause here and talk about how rude it is to do that. If you don’t like someone, if you don’t have anything nice to say, why say anything at all? Why even follow an account if you don’t have anything positive to add? Guess there’s no stopping trolls, eh?

The 24-year-old also revealed that at one point he also received death threats for dating Ariana Grande. Pete added how people wanted to “shoot” him because they thought the Sweetener singer was too hot for him.

“Yeah, I got a death threat,” he told the host. “Someone wanted to shoot me in the face, because she’s [Ariana’s] so hot. Do you know how insane that is? I was like, am I that ugly that people want to shoot me in the face?” He further questioned, “What did I do?”

This is not the first time Davidson has opened up about his experiences on the photo-sharing app. Two months back, he had deleted all of his posts on Instagram. A video of him did pop up only to be deleted. Currently, his account has zero posts and his bio there reads, “account run by someone else.”

While talking to Teen Vogue about the matter previously, Pete had said that he didn’t want to use social media anymore. He’d also called the internet an “evil place.” Girlfriend Ariana Grande has also been unnecessarily made the target of a lot of hate recently.

People started blaming her for the DUI and later, the death of her ex Mac Miller. It got so out of control, that the long-haired beauty eventually disabled the comments on her posts. That’s another way to ward off the negativity. You still cannot comment on her pictures on the app.
