The reason behind Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson’s breakup about five years back is known to everyone. Not only because these two had a whole lot of fans and shippers but also because pictorial proof of the Twilight actress cheating on her co-star came out!
A lot has happened between then and now, and while Kristen may have moved on she still feels regret and wishes things could have ended differently. As per what a source has revealed to HollywoodLife, the 28-year-old still has Pattinson on her mind.
“Kristen sometimes struggles with regret when she thinks about her relationship with Rob,” the source told the media outlet. Kristen and Robert dated for more than four years but then photos of the American actress making out with her movie Snow White’s director, Rupert Sanders surfaced.
Of course, this caused the stars to drift apart and eventually end the romance they shared. The source further added that Kristen Stewart has matured a lot overtime and now she is able to see where she went wrong. “She has been able to see her mistakes more clearly and feels bad about how everything ended,” said the insider.
In the years after their breakup both the celebs have dated other people. Robert Pattinson dated and was engaged to FKA Twigs but they broke it off last year. Currently, he is in a happy relationship with Suki Waterhouse.
Meanwhile Kristen Stewart came out as bisexual and has dated several people since. Following the cheating fiasco, she even issued a public apology to everyone else and Robert Pattinson in particular. In this letter which was published by People, the actress even professed her love for Pattinson out loud.
“I’m deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I’ve caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected,” wrote Kristen. “This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I’m so sorry.”
Pattinson avoided all media attention after that and managed to not let out any feelings or words. It was two years after the incident that he spoke about it that also in the most decent way possible.
