Remember when Kim Kardashian behaved as if having an eating disorder was actually cool? Yes, well, she has apologized for that. Not long ago, Kim shared a series of stories on Instagram in which her sisters were seen praising her or rather expressing their concern over her being super thin.

Guess how Kim reacted? She basked in what her sisters had to say about her body and emanated happiness. Okay, we know what you’re thinking – everyone has a right to feel good when they are complimented. But the problem is that she wasn’t exactly being showered with praises. Her sisters were showing concern and hinting at her having an eating disorder and she couldn’t stop feeling happy over something so serious.

When Kendall Jenner told her, “I’m really concerned, I don’t think you’re eating,” Kim replied with an, “Oh my god, thank you.” Uh…? Then when Khloe gestured at her waist and remarked, “she’s anorexic here. Her arms are like pin thin, they’re like my pinky” Kim K laughed at that. Of course, that attracted a whole lot of backlash to the KKW Beauty founder.

Twitter was abuzz with people slamming Kim for her odd reaction which indirectly promoted weight loss to the extent of it being okay to be physically ill for the sake of it. Twitterers were not happy with her glamorizing something like that and influencing young girls to put their health on risk for reaching absurd beauty standards.

On Ashley Graham’s podcast, Pretty Big Deal, the 37-year-old has finally apologized for what she did. “I 100 percent completely understand where people would be coming from that felt that way,” said Kim. “My intention is never to offend anyone, and I really apologize if I offended anyone…. I know people that have serious eating disorders that have been in and out of the hospital for 15 years, close people. So, I’ve been through, I’ve experienced it enough to have known better… It was insensitive.”
