Kendall Jenner is being slammed by supermodels. This shouldn’t come off as a surprise considering the Kardashian-Jenner sisters have a flare for ignited drama and standing right in the middle of it. Kendall Jenner, who was under fire for her Pepsi advertisement just a few years back, is now once again the target of hate.

Models think that what she had to say about being “super selective” about the runways she walks on was a mockery of their struggles. In a recent interview with LOVE magazine, the 22-year-old had said, “Since the beginning we’ve been super selective about what shows I would do. I was never one of those girls who would do like 30 shows a season or whatever the f*ck those girls do. More power to ‘em.”

She went on to explain how her crippling anxiety chained her. “But I had a million jobs, not only catwalks but everything else. The whole combination was very overwhelming, and I started to freak out a little bit and needed to take a step back.”

The modelling world is upset with Kendall’s words. They believe Jenner has had the privilege of fame in her favor and a reality TV show’s ease – two things that have handed her the supermodel title in a clean silk napkin. Jac Jagaciak who is a Polish model has said, “This makes me so angry… So disrespectful to literally 99 percent of people in the industry—yes they had to work their way up. Please get in touch with the real world!”

Ouch! Other models have also expressed how Kendall Jenner’s words didn’t sit well with them. “Whatever the f*ck those girls do’ is their very best to make their way up AND try to make some money so that they can provide for themselves and their families. Oh, and it’s 70 shows a season by the way and we are all f*cking proud of every single one of the girls that did it,” wrote model Daria Strokous in her Instagram stories.

Kendall’s rep has responded to the backlash and told People, “Mid-thought she realized the number of shows some models walk a season is closer to 80. The point was that it’s their path and ‘the more power to them.’ She admires their hard work and dedication. It’s an accomplishment.”
