Get ready to feel grossed out. This century brought us with facts that were disturbing and fascinating all at the same time. However, the recent research about urine (yes, the actual human pee) being the best kept secret for glowing skin is at the top of our weird researches hall of fame.

Many dermatologists claim that human urine contains the composition of being the perfect skin cleanser. Yeah. You heard us right.

Recently, a 70 year old British woman named Stella Ralfini disclosed her secret related to glowing, fresh and radiant skin tone. She studied medicine in detail in India about 40 years ago. During her stay in India, she developed an irritating rash on her skin surface. Upon consulting a local she was advised to apply urine to the infected area.  Soon the infection was gone and Ralfini was more than convinced.

Afterwards, she added urine to her daily skin care routine. According to her “urine contains urea and uric acid, which act as an exfoliant. The use of an exfoliant on a daily basis tricks the skin into thinking it’s wounded and boosts collagen production. This is true of most topical skin-care products that contain salicylic, glycolic, and fruit acids”.

Recent research on human urine has proved that urine in fact is not as dirty as we believe it is. It is in fact a part of our DNA. It can be used to treat psoriasis, rashes, and clogged pores, out breaks, eczema and acne. Urine has the ability to give a healthy and smooth complexion.

Putting human urine on face sounds gross and no person in their right mind would approve of treating pee as a legitimate skin care tool. However, recent researches and famous dermatologists have validated Ralfini’s claim. Not many people will try it, but human urine is a skin care product and cleanser. True but disgusting!
