Someone is claiming to be Hugh Jackman and asking people to pay for meeting the Wolverine actor. To clarify that the real Hugh Jackman wouldn’t ever do that, the 50-year-old wrote a note on Instagram. The post read, “If someone claiming to be me is asking you for money… It is a SCAM.”

While clearly this was to save people from scammers out there, some fans started wondering if Ryan Reynolds was behind this act. Obviously, these folks were just kidding. Trolling aside, we all know the Deadpool actor wouldn’t ever do such a thing.

One person commented on Jackman’s post, “What Ryan did again?” Another responded to this comment writing, “this was the first thought that came to my mind.” Yet another commenter typed, “It could be Deadpool.”

Ryan Reynolds is known for his rather unique sense of humor. Blake Lively’s husband is best friends with Hugh Jackman and Jake Gyllenhaal. These three actors, who have all worked with Marvel now, often troll one another on social media.

Recently on best friends’ day Jackman posted a picture with Reynolds while using the hashtag #HiJake. Reynolds made a similar post; he shared images with Jackman while captioning the pictures, “Happy #BestFriendsDay to Jake Gyllenhaal! (Not pictured)”

Keeping up with the joke, the Spiderman: Far from Home actor also shared an image of himself with Hugh Jackman. His caption read, “Happy #bestfriendsday to Ryan Reynolds (not pictured)” It’s obvious that good humor brings people together!

Fun aside, people appreciated Hugh Jackman for being aware of what happens on social media. Several mentioned how many different scammers they have come across online who claim to be actors and ask for money. Just to put this out there once again – don’t fall for any such accounts because the real ones have a blue tick.
