Nike had announced that it would be helping people step into the future with Nike HyperAdapt 1.0 and the time is finally here. The idea had budded back in 1989 in Back to the Future II and now it has been shaped into reality. These self-lacing sneakers would come in four color palettes and feature Electro-Adaptive Reactive Laces (E.A.R.L.) and sensors that power the shoes to take the shape of the wearer’s feet.
Laces can be tightened or loosened with the help of buttons given on the sides. Therefore, with these shoes, you don’t have to worry about not being able to find the perfect fit as the pair is going to be the perfect mold for your feet. Had Cinderella been sporty she wouldn’t have liked the idea, but no one really cares about that.
Since the shoes are tech-based, they would need to be charged every now and then, but the good part is that they would have a magnetic charging system. Which means that just two hours of drinking up energy would keep the sneakers active for two whole weeks of running. However, the minus point here is that you’ll have to avoid puddles whilst wearing them as the technology better not be exposed to water.
You can keep an eye easily on the charging too. The light given underfoot would help you out with blue indicating fully charged, yellow standing for half charged, and red screaming charge me now. The battery itself sits in the fashionable chunky sole. The tongue of the shoe reads the E.A.R.L. branding while Nike’s signature tick mark can be seen on the sides.
This sneaker has taken a long, long time of efforts to be created. Senior Innovator for Nike HyperAdapt 1.0, Tiffany Beers, had said this about this technological beauty in an interview at Sneakernews: “It’s amazing. It’s amazing. I’m super-excited about this, but I’m way more excited about the future. Like, what’s coming next will blow your mind. I mean this is amazing, but the future – the vision from this stuff, it will change sports forever.”
