Estée Lauder, our first love brand for anything that we need has just announced the inclusion of an Asian model in its team. Fei Fei Sun is going to be the brand’s global spokesperson joining the roster that is currently packed with other supermodels like Kendall Jenner, Hilary Rhoda, Joan Smalls, Carolyn Murphy, Yang Mi, Misty Copeland, and Gabriella Wilde. She is the latest addition to the Asian model representation.
Sin is the first Chinese model to have been featured on the glossy covers of the Vogue magazine. Regarding her new role at Estée Lauder, she commented, “I am honored to join the incredible women who represent the Estée Lauder brand. Growing up in China, I never believed I would represent such an iconic beauty brand. This is a dream come true.”
Sun replaces Liu Wen, the model who was riding the Lauder train for the past seven years. Almost a decade ago, Estée Lauder was among the first beauty brands to have chosen a global spokesperson from Asia. In her time with the brand, Wen journeyed to becoming a supermodel from a model and one of the recognized faces in China and around the world.
With the departure of Wen and welcome of Sun, in a statement, Estée Lauder added a few sweet words for the departing model, “Liu Wen was an important member of the Estée Lauder brand as a global spokesmodel for over seven years. She helped us connect with a new generation of consumers not only in her home country of China but all around the world. We thank her for her incredible passion and dedication to our brand and wish her every success for her future.”
It is amazing to see a greater coverage of Asian faces by brands such as this one.
