As impossible as it may sound but one of these days you will have to gather all your strength and just do it. You will have to give eating chocolates a break for the sake of your skin. Because in the name of all that is beautiful out there, the chocolate fantasy is not just for pleasing your taste buds but also for enhancing skin care.

The heavenly face masks work on multiple levels such as hydrating, rejuvenating, toning, and lifting the skin. There is more to the mix too with the cocoa masks allowing skin cleansing and scrubbing away of dead skin cells. Moreover, the antioxidant punch in the sweet treat helps to fight free radicals, which is an added plus for the skin. So the chocolate masks are a complete delightful treat for your skin. Here are some DIY masks that you can make at your home:

Toning Choco Mask

This chocolate mask will work to hydrate and tone your skin well along with enhancing its elasticity. To get it ready, you will have to warm about 50 grams of good chocolate on a warm bath. Of course, in our dictionary, there is no chocolate that is bad but a good chocolate signifies that it consists of 70-90% of cocoa content.

Side by side, throw into the blender an apple, strawberries, banana, and watermelon. Take 2-3 tablespoon of this fruity mix and add to it 1 tablespoon of the molten chocolate. Next, comes the typical drill of applying the mask on your face.

Keep the mask on for 20 minutes and rinse it off later with lukewarm water.

Rejuvenating Mask

For this mask, mix together a tablespoon of molten chocolate with the same amount of thick cream that comes as an add-on. Add the same amount of honey to the mix. Mix and apply the DIY chocolate mask on your face for 15 minutes and then rinse with warm water. You will feel a marked difference in the smoothness and texture of your skin. If the sticky feeling persists, wipe your face with a good toner.

Chocolate Scrub

The scrub works to remove dead cells layering over the skin. This is an essential step in caring for your skin, as the accumulation of dead cells can lead to clogged pores and an overall unfresh look.

For your delicious scrub, mix together a spoon of brown sugar, olive oil, a couple of drops of vanilla extract, and about 1.5 spoons of cocoa powder. Apply the paste on your face and scrub it in a circular motion to get rid of all the dead cells.

If you have an oily or combination skin, there is an alternative cocoa mask too. For this second option, you will have to make a paste of the chocolate powder with water and add two teaspoons of sea salt to it. This addition assists in exfoliation and removal of dead skin cells. It also works as a detoxifier to eat up all the toxins and bacteria residing on your skin surface. Next, add 1 teaspoon of raw milk and get to mixing the paste until all ingredients are evenly mixed. Apply and scrub gently in circular motions on your face.

Chocolate Hydration Treat

This face mask makes your skin softer and smoother; all due to the hydration superpower of the dessert treat you love the most. For preparing the mask, gather together an egg yolk, 1 tablespoon of olive oil, and 50 grams of chocolate with 70-90% of cocoa in it. If olive oil is not available then you can use grape seed oil or almond oil as backup ingredients.

Start with the warm bath of chocolate to melt it up. Mix 1 tablespoon of the molten bliss with olive oil and then mix the two with the egg yolk. Combine together all properly and your DIY chocolate mask is ready. Once the temperature is calm, spread the mask on your skin. Let is stay there for around 15 minutes and rinse with lukewarm water.
