The year has only traveled two months in and some of the most important award ceremonies of Hollywood are already behind us. One thing that we can gauge from all these are the fashion trends that are going to be in this year. That said, we’ve collected a list of the best red carpet looks of 2018 so far so that you can ace at your style game.
Dakota Johnson at the Golden Globes Red Carpet
The 28-year-old actress stunned in a full black velvet gown at the Golden Globes this year. But her dress was not simple with just an alluring front. The back of her gown had a huge silver embellishment in the shape of a star spreading detailed specks down the loose tail. The front of the dress featured a black belt with a silver buckle. Her silver dangle earrings and bangs covering her forehead made her look all the more beautiful.
Zoe Kravitz at the Golden Globes Red Carpet
The Divergent star graced the red carpet of the Golden Globes wearing an all-black Saint Laurent straight dress. She didn’t bother to add any extra details but managed to look fabulous in all her simplicity. Her edgy dress sans any extra shimmer followed the less is more mantra. She sported a full red lip and wore emerald earrings to complete her look. Her style proved that despite not knowing much about fashion she is a total slay queen.
Gal Gadot at the Critics’ Choice Awards Red Carpet
The Wonder Woman actress wore a silver glittery gown to the red carpet of the Critics’ Choice Awards. Her dress had a plunging neckline and a black embellished belt. The 32-year-old kept her hair slicked back. Since her Prada dress was shiny enough she didn’t add any more sparkle to her look; a tip we can all learn from. Her pink lipstick and overall light makeup look made her look chic and sophisticated at once.
Sarah Hyland at the Critics’ Choice Awards Red Carpet
Another actress who looked fabulous at the Critics’ Choice Awards Red Carpet is Sarah Hyland. The Modern Family actress is no stranger to having her name on the list of the best-dressed celebs. She was wearing Naeem Khan, her dress had a tulle skirt in white while the blouse part was shimmery black. For the finishing touches, she added a red lipstick and rocked strappy heels. Silver jewels accentuated her already pretty look.
Reese Witherspoon at the SAG Awards Red Carpet
The Big Little Lies actress maintained her bright smile and graceful look at the Screen Actors Guild awards. She was wearing a green ensemble by Zac Posen. The dress was of varying shades of green all of which complimented the 41-year-old’s blonde locks. Off-the-shoulders design prettified the style of the gown. She rocked a pair of emerald and silver dangle earrings with a matching bracelet while her fingers were decorated with shiny rings.
Margot Robbie at the SAG Awards Red Carpet
The Suicide Squad actress walked on the red carpet of the SAG Awards this year in a Miu Miu attire. Her dusty pink frock had a halter-neck defining her look as glamorous. Apart from the feathered waistline, the dress featured delicate bead-detailing. Margot accessorized with a metal clutch bag and Tiffany jewelry studs and bracelet. Her makeup was light to go with her overall look. She had one side of her edgily cut hair neatly tucked behind her ear.
Beyoncé Knowles at The Grammy’s Red Carpet
At the Grammy’s this year, Queen Bey’s look was inspired by the Black Panther movement of the 1960’s. Her full-length maxi dress by Nicolas Jebran clung to her hourglass figure with thigh-high slits. She completed her look with an oversized fascinator and black heels. Her silver earrings were huge paying tribute to this year’s biggest jewelry trend. For a dramatic effect, she rocked a pair of sunshades too and painted on a dark purple lipstick.
Rita Ora at the Grammy’s Red Carpet
Rita Ora made a statement at the Grammy’s this year in a black high-slit gown flashing skin. Her one-shoulder dress had contrasting lining. With her hair swept back and cascading down her back, and a deep red lip, she made sure that she had all the positive attention. The For You songstress wore delicate silver studs, black nail polish, and pointy-toed heels. Her velvet gown was from Ralph & Russo Couture.
Angeline Jolie at the BAFTAs Red Carpet
The Maleficient star looked the classiest. Where there were many who tried to sport revealing looks to stand out from the crowd that was all clad in black, Jolie kept it simple in a velvet gown. Perhaps, she’d have gone for black even if the theme didn’t demand so. The timeless beauty was seen in a velvet gown, her hair slicked back into a bun. She wore subtle makeup in light shades and for the finishing touches added red nail polish and silver jewels.
Emma Roberts at the BAFTAs Red Carpet
The Nerve actress looked stunning on the BAFTAs red carpet. The deep neckline of the dress and sleeves with oversized shoulder pads of her dress gave off vintage vibes. Her Schiaparelli gown had a slit through one leg up to her knee. She held a golden clutch in one hand and went for minimal makeup, looking every bit a sophisticated diva with her hair tied neatly in a bun. Her ears were decorated with dangle earrings and her feet wore black sandals.
Dua Lipa at the BRIT Awards Red Carpet
The Hotter Than Hell singer looked heavenly at the red carpet of the BRIT Awards this year. Not only did she win an award, but she also won the hearts of fans as she came looking like an absolute princess in a pink tulle gown. Her dress was right off the Giambattista Valli’s Spring 2018 Couture ramp. Pink and silver makeup, with her hair let loose and black strappy sandals. With a white rose in her hand and fairy-like getup, she looked totally stole the show.
Camila Cabello at the BRIT Awards Red Carpet
Cabello looked drop dead gorgeous in her baby blue ruffle dress. The sheer full-length gown had a cut out at the chest. The Cuban American rising star held a white rose in one hand and her jewels sparkled even from afar. She wore her hair in her statement style; loose braid with bangs framing her pretty face. Her girlish attire was from Ralph & Russo’s spring collection and has been worn by Bollywood beauty Deepika Padukone as well for a magazine’s cover picture.
