Selena Gomez, the songstress who never fails to deliver outstanding music, is seeking mental health treatment. The 26-year-old was shifted to a psychiatric facility after suffering a panic attack due to the complications that her kidney transplant posed.

As per reports, the Back to You singer was hospitalized twice last week due to her low white blood cell count. The second visit to the hospital caused Selena to go through an “emotional breakdown.” She tried to free herself from IVs when doctors told her that she would have to stay.

TMZ informs that currently Selena Gomez is receiving DBT, dialectical behavior therapy. A source reported to People, “She realized she needed to seek additional help for her ongoing emotional issues. She’s surrounded by close family and has a lot of support. She’s doing better now and is seeking treatment on the East Coast.”

In 2014, Selena Gomez was admitted in the hospital for two weeks due to her Lupus. She has always been pretty open about her depression and anxiety issues and has even said that she doesn’t think she will ever be able to recover from them.

Two weeks prior to this incident, Gomez announced that she was taking another break from social media. Around the same time last year, she had gone through a kidney transplant. “Selena has been trying really hard recently to remain focused, and not let her health affect her,” an insider reported to E! News.

The same source added, “Ultimately, with all of her arising health issues, Selena started to feel super overwhelmed.”  Several celebs have come forward to support her including Ariana Grande and her Taki Taki song-mates. Fans are also sending prayers her way and a hashtag Pray For Selena is trending on Twitter as well.

We hope Selena Gomez recovers soon.
